Inca Bridge Tours

The departure for the inca bridge day trip, starts at seven in the morning, we drive our private tourist transport towards pomacanchi village 3670m, which is at 02 hour from the city, the place is quiet and pleasant, where we can see two lagoons, one of them is named pomacanchi lagoon and the other one named arnacocha, after looking at this two lagoons, we keep driving our vehicle towards yanaoca.

Yanaoca, is a small town on the highlands, very active, they are producing dairy products, which are sell in the city, nearby, there is a mini volcano, which is not in activity for long time, all the way has interesting highland view.

We’ll drive by the beautiful landscape of the Andean highlands and arrive to the lagoons of pampamarca, from here we continue driving and after about an hour drive we reach Yanaoca village. The place is interesting, we may see some villagers on their traditional custom, and then we continue the journey towards the famous K’eswachaca at 3700m.

At arrival, you will admire this fantastic legacy of incas, which is renewed yearly by four communities, in a traditional ceremony, (It’s repairing runs yearly around june 9th); by about 1000 people from 04 communities “Huinchiri, Chaupibanda, Ccollana Q’ewe and Pelcaro” ), after taking some pictures we will have our box lunch near by the bridge.

After lunch we return, optionally we can enter in to the karañawi caves located at only 10 minutes by car. The caves in interesting and flashlight is needed, then we return to Cusco city. We will finish the cusco inca bridge tours at around 7pm.

If you are with tight itinerary and have no much time, consider a combo trip; a trip that includes the rainbow mountain; we only need an early departure. Starting early can allow us to be the first ones on the rainbow mountain, then we can drive for lunch to a lower elevation, and after having recharged energy, we can continue to the inca straw bridge.
