Day Tour: Arequipa city tour
Our Arequipa City Tour starts between 09 am and 2 pm, where our guide will meet you at your hotel, from where you will head towards the city center, as the first place to visit is the Monastery of Santa Catalina, that was built the year of 1579; here you will see walls built with stones which were painted with colors that provides special shine to the place.
From here, the tour continues to the temple and convent of San Francisco, then the viewpoint of Carmen Alto and Yanahuara , hence we turn to minor basilica temple located in the main square, the Plaza de Armas.
Arequipa city center, is surrounded by arches where restaurants are, then we continue to the Museum of Andean shrines that houses the remains of “Juanita” mummy of a noble lady from Cusco, it was found on top of the mountain Ambato, with this visit we will end the beautiful Arequipa city tour.
